Doctrinal Beliefs

Salvation - We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10; I Peter 1:18-19) and that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Godhead - We believe in one True God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

Eternal Security and Assurance of Believers - We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30)

We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word which, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh. (Romans 13:13-14; Galatians 5:13)

The Word of God - We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and that they compose the entire Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed; and therefore, are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21)

The Church - We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control. (Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28)

We recognize water baptism and the Lord’s Supper as the Scriptural ordinances of obedience for the church in this age. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 18:18; I Corinthians 11:23-26)

Creation - We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin. (Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11)

Separation - We believe that we as believers need to separate from the things that are Biblically wrong. Separation itself has a three-fold purpose (Personal Separation, Secondary Separation, Ecclesiastical Separation) that all believers should try to be separate from. (II Corinthians 6:17)

Pre-Tribulation Rapture - We believe that when the Lord comes again that we as believers will not face the seven years of punishment that the world is going to have. We believe this because when Christ died on the cross He paid for our sins and forgot all our sins. We are saved from hell and the punishment that the Lord is going to condemn on this earth. (Romans 8:1, Revelation 3:10, I Thessalonians 3:10)

Missions - Missions, we believe, has one goal and that is reaching the lost no matter where they are in the world. Missions is very important because the Bible says that “He is not willing that any should perish”. A missionary has a job to reach those who in our eyes are unreachable. Their job is to start a church, reach people, teach the people, baptize them and teach them more and plant more churches. We also have a mission to help support them and look at our land as a mission field. (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20)

Soul-winning - We believe that we all have the responsibility to tell others about Christ. This is not a suggestion but rather a command from our Lord. We must tell folks about the risen Savior and how He became sin for us. The command He gives us is “Go”, so we must obey and go. (Mark 16:15-16)

The Second Coming of Christ - We believe in the blessed hope that Christ will return. He is coming for His Church before the seven-year tribulation period. At this time the Lord will personally and visibly establish His earthly kingdom that was promised to the nation of Israel. (Psalm 89:3-4, Titus 2:13, Revelation 3:10)
